CE Mark
The CE marking is indicated on products sold in the EU that are manufactured outside the EU, or designed to be sold in, the EU. The CE marking is the manufacturer’s declaration that the product meets the requirements of the applicable EC directives. And CE marking is a self-certification scheme. For example, most electrical products must comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the EMC Directive; toys must comply with the Toy Safety Directive “EN71” European standard EN 71 specifies safety requirements for toys. Compliance with the standard is legally required for all toys sold in the European Union. For instance, it specifies mechanical and physical properties, Flammability,Organic chemical compounds etc…
ST Mark
The Japan Toy Association (JTA), a public interest entity approved by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, established the Japan Safety Toy Mark Program (ST Mark) to ensure the safety of toys for children 14 years of age and under. The ST Mark is based on three toy safety standards: 1,Mechanical and Physical Properties (revised to align with ISO 8124-1) 2,Flammability (revised to align with ISO 8124-2) 3,Chemical Properties.
